Character analysis

Salim: I've chosen to write about Salim. Salim is Jamal's older brother and a very important character in the movie. When Jamal and Salim's parents get killed during a riot, Salim become the protecter and provider in the family. He likes to refer himself as the boss. He slowly becomes more involved in the criminal environment. When he kill the gangleader kept Lathika and chased Jamal and Salim many years ago, another gangleader accepts him as a member of his gang. Salim and Jamal become seperated and meet again many years later. Salim had become a important member of his gang.
